Ceremonies

With its unique location on the banks of the River Avon, Dauntsey Park House and the adjoining Church of St James the Great make a spectacular setting for weddings and receptions that can be adapted to suit any individual style or requirement.

The neighbouring, historic Church of St James has been a place of worship for over 1000 years and still holds regular services. St James is of particular importance as it is only one of five churches in England to have a 15th century doom board or tympanum hung in its original position.

St James is one of the six Woodbridge Group Churches which is part of the Diocese of Bristol. All wedding service enquiries should be made direct to the administrator www.woodbridgegroup.co.uk

Guests and the wedding party may enter the church from the public south door and then leave, after the ceremony, from the private north entrance which opens directly into Dauntsey’s beautiful gardens.

The bride and her attendants may also have use of two of the spacious en-suite bedrooms in the main house prior to the ceremony.
